Setting: The year 2002, Mathieu Manor [the second], in Wales.
Background Summary: Persephone and Deimos got married in a quiet ceremony in 1994, and moved into their brand new manor in Wales, far enough way from their previous manors to get away from memories of their past failed marriages, and yet still be close enough to keep custody with their respective ex-spouses.
Each of Persephone's neices and nephew were each given a room in the new manor [which they use when visiting], even if a few of them only used it for a few months before moving out. None of them currently live there.
Erynn [25], makes clothing for a living, and is married with one child to date. Tegan Bane [23], is now in a relationship and expecting. Adrian Bane [also 23], unlike his twin sister hasn't settled down and travels often with his band Hexenjagd. Xandra [21] has only very recently moved out after starting her healing training.
Deimos' kids from his first marriage to Irish Ravenclaw Niamh, both currently still live with him. Hazel [20] stayed to help out with her newest half siblings, on the side of finishing her auror training. She plans to move out after getting a job at the ministry. Bronwen [17] is going to start his last year of Hogwarts in the fall, and thus still lives there.
Persephone's children from her previous marriage to Jole, Alis and Steffan [14], still live in the manor for the same reason as Bronwen, but often take off to friends' houses for the summer. Or their dads.
In 1996, Persephone and Deimos had a child of their own, a pretty little girl, Désiré. And in 1997 welcomed twin boys, Édouard and Mical to the family. Which are now 6 and 5 respectively.
Which brings us up to date.

Deimos was sitting at his kitchen table reading the Daily Prophet and drinking his coffee, while occasionally nibbling on the wonderful eggs and toast his house elf had made for him, while waiting for his gorgeous wife to wake up and appear for her breakfast.
She was taking full advantage of the fact that they had the entire house to themselves, Hazel was off moving into Xandra's apartment to have easier acess to her training, Bronwen was crashing with his friends, and the Alis and Steffan where off at their respective friends as well. His new, youngest children were with his darling honourary niece Tegan, and Persephone seemed to enjoy it and take the time to sleep in.
Personally, he was a litte weirded out. The house was so loud with the three teenagers, the young adult, and three toddlers running about, not to mention the others popping in and out at odd times. He loved the large family, but he'd learned to tune them out into background noise most of the time. And now? It was dead silent. Eerily silent. Something creepy is about to happen eerily silent. What on earth was up with that?
He kept expecting some freaky axe murder to come busting out of a closet and hack him to bits and get his coffee all over his clean, white tiled floor. And now he knew having children was driving him crazy. He was worrying about what was going to happen to his floor if he was murdered. Ugh.
Maybe there was something to this peace and quiet after all. Even if he felt like humming to be able to hear himself think properly. He sipped his coffee, and waited for his wife to come down, hardly believing, even after all these years, that she was actually finally and totally his.
